              I am grateful for the relationship with Breana “Bre” Henry even if it didn’t end well. I may have let it haunt me for a lifetime. I let the fallout from this impactful relationship cause me not to take risks and begin to second guess myself with self-doubt. It has taken me a lifetime to find that silver lining. It took developing a growth mindset to realize the lessons I needed to learn from that relationship. It taught me what I need in a partner. It taught me to not accept if a partner dismisses my feelings or puts me down for speaking up about my feelings. It taught me what red flags to look out for. It also taught me that jealousy and insecurity are major turn offs. Even though I let this relationship, and its end stop me from dating at the age of nineteen, the lessons I have learned will bring me closer to the one. I am on my way.
